Vol 1 (moss) is the first of a series of sound and book duets titled, The Entire World Is Not The World, made from recordings of moss mixed into compositions I make from cutting up cassette tape loops. The photographs are a sequence that slowly zooms in on moss and runs through the entire book and cover like a loop in itself. I record moss by holding a mic up against it and hoping that some of the moss essence enters the recording, and the book. I think it does.
