I have alway been attracted to these lush paintings of cabins or ships or mountains. These are places that don’t exist in reality, that is to say they communicate some kind of ideal, almost a kind of heaven. I’d like to experience a place like that so I hired a painter to paint me into those ideals, into those perfect places.
